Gym shit

February 2, 2008

I feel so useless.

Every routine I go up and do, falls short of my expectations. 8.2 the last time, and 8.0 this time. In both of them, I noticed mistakes that were screaming for mark deductions. Like wtf. I keep disappointing myself. I should count myself lucky that this isn’t comp yet.

I feel especially more so after screwing up a backflip BADLY. Instead of tucking over I piked over since I managed to intelligently stuck my butt out. Landed on my left side of the back as well as my head as a result. Bounced onto the other tramp and disrupted Ruilin (I think) jumping.

Apparently according to Daojie I’ve been doing the backflip wrongly since like ever. Like, WTH. In the midst of re-learning it.

Speaking of comp, it’s on the 16th of April. Pok, like I said before, do well, and kick out someone else. I just hope it’s not me.

Shawn, work harder. Right now I’d say you MAY stand a decent chance. And anyway, nothing has been confirmed yet. (Not until March the 15th, anyway.)

Argh I still feel so useless. Hopeless. Whatever.

Happy Birthday Kelly.

Mypaper…

Mypaper…

Has gone over the top (from MY PoV). There’s no need to emblazon their front page with the words “NEW GENERATION OF RAFFLESIANS ARE ELITIST” or something like that.

I mean, ok, some people are probably on the arrogant end. But I think that that doesn’t hold true for most of us. I read the article, and I think it was kinda portraying ALL Rafflesians in the same light. Which isn’t right, tarring us all with the same brush, that is. Especially when I believe that it just happens to be a minority which are doing it.

Or it could just be that since Rafflesians are more or less on the same level we don’t really see any big difference within ourselves. Could that be it? That we’ve grown so used to each other that it’s become the norm. But somehow I don’t believe that. Most of us happen to get really pissed off with a person in my class when he goes around suaning people. It’s extremely irritating and possibly elitist. But most of us? There are some other people who I think are brash and rude, but that isn’t elitism. It’s just lack of manners.

The only reason why I read that article was because someone left it in the Gym on Wednesday. And it caught my eye immediately. And it left me wondering.

Oh dear. I’m rambling again.

Oh. And after Christopher said his speech for Oral Diagnostic, a few people said “Amen”. AHAHAHA (CHRIST-opher again). Lol.
